v2.0.0 Update Postponed
06/29/2025
NOTICE
Hello, all of our users.
This is Sungmo, the Game Director for Supervillain Wanted.
First, I want to sincerely apologize for having to postpone the Plaza update (hereafter referred to as the v2.0.0 update), which was originally scheduled for June 25 and then delayed to June 29, once again.
As I mentioned in Director's Note #2, we have completely overhauled the underlying structure. However, far more bugs than expected have occurred, and implementing the remaining features is taking longer than anticipated. As a result, we have no choice but to reschedule the update to Wednesday, July 9.
Additionally, as you can see from the development images at the bottom of this note, there are still too many unfinished UI elements for us to share the update with you at this time.
We are developing as quickly as possible, day and night, weekdays and weekends alike, but I feel heavy-hearted that we are unable to deliver v2.0.0 within the promised timeframe.
I would like to conclude today’s note by explaining what will change with v2.0.0.
1. Separation of Content Access Paths
Menus that can be accessed directly via the UI will be separated from menus that require you to visit the Plaza (name TBD) in person.
To alleviate the inconvenience of manual movement, we will provide a shortcut feature that automatically moves you to a specific destination, after which you will need to press a button yourself to enter.
2. Addition of Main Progress (Name TBD) and Adventure Renewal
The one of the most frequently discussed topic among Captains is “the stage you are currently staying on.” The current Adventure feature, which checks progress based on time-dependent growth (power-based) with almost no strategy and bundled idle rewards, tends to reduce the fun of gameplay as time passes.
Given the genre’s characteristics, it is impossible to completely exclude time-dependent growth content. However, we are adding new content where unlimited challenges are possible, and where differences in progress can occur even at the same growth level through factors such as attribute fever timing and sidekick allocation (skill acceleration for riders).
Accordingly, the current Adventure will be renewed as an online idle reward feature based on main progress.
3. Addition of Tarot Cards (Buff System)
At certain times, you can visit Kira (NPC) to draw buffs.
Buffs include increased experience gain, increased dungeon rewards, increased operation rewards, and more. The higher the buff value, the lower the probability of drawing that card.
4. Other Event Systems
A system will be added that allows for events in the Plaza, such as NPCs that appear only on certain days or at certain times, or events announced in advance and held in the Plaza.
However, individual events and NPCs will not all be included in the v2.0.0 update and will be added one by one in future updates.
(Reference) The images were captured on a development PC, so they are in landscape mode. The actual update will be provided in portrait mode, as shown in the images shared above.
This is what the Plaza currently under development looks like. You can meet and communicate with dozens of other players, and we are developing features that create value when players are together, including emotes.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for making you wait until July 9. We will do our best to meet this schedule.
Thank you.
